BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN......HAVE YOU VOLUNTEERED YET?

Luzerne County is under a draught watch:
DEP suggests several steps citizens can take to voluntarily reduce their
water use:
• Run water only when necessary. Don’t let the faucet run while brushing your
teeth or shaving. Shorten the amount of time you let the water run to warm up
before you shower. Use a bucket to catch the water and then reuse it to water your plants.

• Run the dishwasher and washing machine only with full loads....
• Check for household leaks. A leaking toilet can waste up to 200 gallons of water each day.
• Replace older appliances with high-efficiency, front-loading models that use about 30 percent
t less water and 40 to 50 percent less energy.

• Install low-flow plumbing fixtures and aerators on faucets.

The Autumn Mountain Board of Directors has contacted the office
because a Hickory Hills resident was disposing of broken furniture
in their dumpster. The resident said he was under the impression
that it was part of Hickory Hills.  Please be advised that it is NOT, and
their dumpster is not for use by Hickory Hills

Beginning on October 10, Hickory Hills will have a new security company. County Security Police will be manning the guard shack and
performing roving patrols. They will be on site for 40 hours per week. The company was founded by a husband and wife who are veterans,
and the wife is currently serving. You can get more info on their website, countysecuritypolice.com.
We will have one guard who works the site, his name is Anthony Andrews. Anthony was formerly a police officer in New Jersey, and is
certified by the state of Pennsylvania. If you need to reach him, you can call 570-956-1602. While on duty in Hickory Hills, Anthony will be
armed. As in the past, in case of an emergency, call 911.

THE WHITE HAVEN BOROUGH MANAGER HAS CONTACTED THE HHPOA OFFICE
BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM HICKORY HILLS RESIDENTS.
HICKORY HILLS IS NOT IN WHITE HAVEN BOROUGH, SO ANY ISSUES HAVE TO BE
HANDLED BY OUR SECURITY OR BY THE STATE POLICE.  PLEASE CONTACT THEM
INSTEAD OF CALLING THE WHITE HAVEN BOROUGH OFFICE OR THE WHITE HAVEN
POLICE DEPARTMENT.
